Our inspiring founders & leaders had a silent vision. Through their efforts and way they had lived, they have demonstrated ONENESS in and of Shishukunj. They have inspired so many more that wherever they have gone, they have left a footprint of Shishukunj.

2016
23rd June 2016 – Shishukunj completes 75 years of its foundation.

2015-2010
Shishukunj SonTekri was established in Nilpar in 2015.
Shishukunj Sammelan held in Nairobi in December 2015, with Kalaniketan Shishukunj, Nairobi celebrating its 60th anniversaryShishukunj involved with and supported Dhanvantri School-Bhuj, Happy Faces School- Bhuj, Sinchan Education Society Bhuj, Chaitanya Charitable Trust-Jamnagar etc.
Shishukunj Sammelan was held in Indore (Shishukunj International School) in 2011 – the first medical camp was held at Visavadar.
Shishukunj International Foundation was established in 2010.

2010-2006
Shishukunj Sammelan held in Nairobi brought about new dynamism and innovation to Shishukunj activities globally.
Our founder member Indubhai passed away in 2006 but he leaves behind an inspiring legacy which uplifts many lives for generations to come.

2005-2000
Shishukunj Bhavnagar, Nana Surkha, Gopaldham, Savar-Kundla, Shishukunj Ahmedabad, Mankuva (Bhuj), Bagasara, Chalala etc. were established.
Shishukunj activities flourished in India under the inspiration and guidance of Indubhai & others.

Shishukunj Indore (known as The Shishukunj International School) was established in 1999.

1995-91
Shishukunj activity centre was established in Ahmedabad (India) in 1994.

1990-85
Shishukunj activities flourished in their respective centres.

1985-81
Shishukunj Sammelan in Nairobi (1982) & Mombasa (1985) inspired all to take Shishukunj beyond the Millennium.
Shishukunj Centres opened in Nakuru, Kakamega, Arusha, Sweden, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

1980-76
Shishukunj London (1977) was established.

1975-71
On 2nd February 1975 our inspiring pioneers Vallabhbhai, Devchandbhai & Dushyantbhai passed away in a road accident.
Late Shree Devchandbhai, Rameshbhai Archarya & others started Shishukunj activities in Sanatan Mandir, Leicester (UK) in 1974.
At a major child organizations convention in Mombasa, all accepted the name of SHISHUKUNJ for their children activities.

1970-66
Rameshbhai Archarya started Shishukunj Tanga (1968) and Shree Kapoorbhai Solanki and others started Shishukunj Moshi (1970).

1965-61
Shree Ranchodbhai, Shree Karsanbhai (Kaka) & others started Shishukunj Mombasa.

1960-55
A child education seminar was held in Dar-es-Salaam in 1960. This was attended by many of the visionaries in child development. Inspired by this, Shree Dhanjibhai Tanna & others started Shishukunj Kisumu.
On 12th February, 1955, Kala-Niketan Shishukunj Nairobi, which 6 months later became Kala-Niketan Phoolwadi was founded by Late Shree Shantoobhai Raithatha, his wife Late Smt. Manjulaben, Late Shree Vallabhbhai, Shree Vinodbhai & Shree Kanubhai Mehta. Indubhai settled in Dar-es-salaam and with the help of Late Shree Rameshbhai Acharya established Shishukunj Dar-es-salaam on 23rd June.

1955-47
Indubhai established several Shishukunj centres in Limbdi, Joravernagar, Wadhvan & Dhrangadhra. Dhrangadhra centre, under leadership of Shree Jeetendrabhai Bhatt developed into Shikshan Pravruti.

Late Shree Indubhai Davey, Shree Jeetendrabhai Bhatt and others started Shishukunj in Karachi (pre-independence India).
