Bhartiya Grameen Mahila Sangh, Bangalore is a non-political, non-sectarian, all India social welfare organization, whose main object is welfare and upliftment of women, children, handicapped and the aged. Shishukunj affiliated with BGMS in 2002, since then, Shishukunj Karyakar Deepakbhai Shah (Babubhai), has worked effortlessly towards nurturing the children of the Sangh. Shishukunj Vidhyalaya was started in 2009 in the campus of BGMS with highly qualified staff.
Shishukunj Mankuva
Shishukunj Mankuva was established 10 years back with an objective to create a model kindergarten for surrounding pre-primary schools. It functions in concert with the motto of Shishukunj, “Gammat Sathe Gnan” – allowing the children to learn through play, with learning being a playful and joyful process. Shishukunj Aanganwadi enrolls 75-80 children every year divided in 3 Classrooms (Nursery – Gulab, Jr.KG – Surajmukhi, and Sr.KG – Kamal). Admissions are done twice in a year (June and December).

Acme Shishukunj Nursery was started 10 years back for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years. It has been started with an objective to provide basic education to the children of nearby areas. At present there 120 children enrolled in three classes: Baby Class, Nursery Class and Pre-Unit Class, with a staff of 4 teachers and 3 support staff. The children attend Nursery from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm from Monday to Friday. They are given a healthy and delicious breakfast and lunch every day.
Shishukunj Vidyalaya Dhrangadhra
Shishukunj Vidyalaya Dhrangadhra was established in early 1950s. Since then, the school has emerged as a prominent educational institute in the city. At present, there are around 150 children in Bal Mandir, 745 children in Primary Section and 550 children in High School. Not only in academics, the school is very actively involved in sports activities, arts and cultural activities, and has won several accolades at district and state level in these activities. The teachers of the school are very much dedicated towards the school and the children.
